We are pleased to announce the 1st edition of the STIMA International Summer School – Engineering Beyond Boundaries, organized by the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Padua.
STIMA (Science, Technology, Innovation, Mathematics, and Arts) is a one-week immersive programme taking place from July 20 to 26, 2026, designed for motivated undergraduate engineering students eager to engage with cutting-edge topics, connect with industry, and experience a truly multidisciplinary environment.
The programme will take place across two iconic locations: the historic city of Padua and the breathtaking scenery of Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites.
Selected participants will benefit from a scholarship covering accommodation, meals, transfers, and all programme activities.

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
The University of Padua, founded in 1222, is one of Europe's oldest and most prestigious universities, with a strong tradition of academic excellence, scientific discovery, and international collaboration.
Within this context, the Department of Industrial Engineering (DII) stands out for its interdisciplinary approach, combining industrial, energy, mechanical, aerospace, chemical, materials and electrical engineering to address complex technological challenges and foster innovation.
The STIMA Summer School (Science, Technology, Innovation, Mathematics, and Art) is designed to attract motivated undergraduate students eager to explore their potential in a stimulating, multidisciplinary environment. The program offers a unique opportunity to learn across disciplines, engage with cutting-edge topics, and experience what it means to operate within a dynamic and rapidly evolving innovation ecosystem.
ELIGIBILITY
This opportunity is open to bachelor's students who are majoring in Industrial Engineering (IE) or related fields, including Materials Engineering, Energy Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
HOW TO APPLY

- Valid Identity Document;
- CV and Transcripts;
- Motivation Letter;
- An IELTS/TOEFL/CET6 score certificate or any other certificate demonstrating competency in English (B2 level).
All application documents must be in Italian or English. Documents issued in a third language should be translated into Italian or English.

- July 23-26: Company visits and academic activities in Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites

SCHOLARSHIP COVERAGE
The scholarship covers accommodation, selected meals in Padua (1 dinner, 3 lunches), full board in Cortina, transfers, company visits and cultural activities.
